December Holiday Potluck & Gift Exchange
Our December meeting will be a festive and decorated Holiday Potluck and Gift Exchange, and it will be on the SECOND Saturday, instead of the usual third Saturday.
It will be Saturday, December 14th, at 10 am at Good Samaritan Hospital in the Wistar Morris Room on the first floor of the Main Hospital Building. Bring a friend, spouse, or partner. Anyone affected by hearing loss is welcome. Here's how you can participate.
1. Bring a breakfast item: a ready-to-eat dish to serve about 6 people, including a serving utensil if needed. We'll provide the plates, eating utensils, napkins, cups, coffee and hot water. There won't be any way to rewarm things, though.
2. Bring a wrapped gift worth no more than $15, preferably less! Used or new, "regifted" and silly gifts are all acceptable. We will have our annual white elephant gift exchange where, one-by-one, each participant decides whether to pick a wrapped gift or to "steal" a gift that someone else has already chosen and unwrapped. It's all in fun and the rules will be explained at the meeting, or preview them here. Unless you divulge your secret, no one will know which gift you brought.
Note: For social events like this, we do not have our usual CART (Real Time Captioning) or our loop and microphones.
This promises to be a fun and rousing time! We hope to see you there. Questions? HLAPORTLAND [at] GMAIL [dot] COM
