"Living Well With Hearing Loss" Workshop

Presenters will include Samuel Trychin, Ph.D., a nationally known speaker on communication strategies for people with poor hearing.There will be an Audiologist Panel on Over the Counter Hearing Aids and Aural Rehabilitation,and a youth panel on issues faced by students. David Baldridge will talk about Career Success After Hearing Loss.

There will be an exhibit area (open to the public) with displays of the newest assistive technologies. All sessions will have Real-Time Captioning, T-Coil loops and, if requested in advance, ASL Interpreters. Registration fees include a choice of boxed lunches and door prize drawings. 

Doors open at 8:30 am., presentations begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. The venue is the Linn County Expo Center, Willamette Conference Center, 3700 Knox Butte Rd E, Albany 97322.

Regular Adult Registration is $65. Discounts are available for those under 18 or over 59, students, couples and HLAA members. You must register before October 21st to be assured of receiving the box lunch.

This workshop is being organized by HLAA Oregon Association, the state affiliate of our national HLAA.  We encourage you to consider attending.
