BRIDGES OREGON LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE
Salem, Oregon. - Bridges Oregon is proud to announce the launch of its new website. After several weeks in development, the new website, at www.bridgesoregon.org, was unveiled after the New Year. The new site provides a refreshed design, improved navigation, and mobile and tablet friendly functionality, and information about our new Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) advocacy and accompaniment service to the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing Oregonians.
With three years of continuous commitment, Bridges Oregon has become the only dedicated Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing nonprofit organization that provides advocacy and accompaniment services in Oregon.
The CDC (2017) has indicated that 1 in 4 Americans have hearing loss. Using the National Center for Health Statistics (2017) formula from the Gallaudet Research Institute, the number of individuals who are living with hearing loss in the state of Oregon is approximately 1,058,068, and 4,021 of them use sign language to communicate.
Chad A. Ludwig, Executive Director and founder of Bridges Oregon stated, "We are extremely excited about our new website and the additional level of service it will provide to our prospective and future clients. It was built with our clients in mind, allowing them to access new tools, subscribe to our enews or make a donation to support this organization's important work."
The new site will still be located at the current web address, www.bridgesoregon.org, and we encourage you to explore the redesign. If you experience any problems using the new website or if you have any feedback, please contact us at info [at] bridgesoregon [dot] org. The website will continue to develop over time as we go through a 6-month implementation period. We will begin our service to the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing community in summer of 2021.
We hope you enjoy browsing the new improved site and learning more about everything Bridges Oregon has to offer. Please take this opportunity to sign up to receive e-news from us. You can also always follow us on Facebook (/BridgesOregon) for all the latest happenings. Finally, please use the hashtag "#BridgesOregon" when sharing information in social media.
