Oregon VR is a statewide resource for people with disabilities and is part of the Department of Human Services. We assist individuals with disabilities in getting and keeping a job that matches their skills, interests and abilities. VR staff works in partnership with the community and businesses to develop employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Oregon VR is a state and federally sponsored program which assists people with all types of disabilities, with the exception of Blindness or Deaf-Blindness, in all areas of the state. Our services are individualized, to ensure that each person who is determined eligible for our support receives services that are essential to their employment success.

Oregon VR has many qualified, specially trained VR Counselors who work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Oregonians. These counselors are fluent in ASL and informed about local, statewide and national resources to help their clients become successfully employed. If your local office does not have a Rehabilitation Counselor for the Deaf/HOH on staff, the counselor you work with will have access to the State Coordinator for Deaf/HOH Services (who works in Salem) as well as the network of RCDs across the state.
